Kid Icarus is a truly classic nes game and it's shameful Pit still isn't featured in a new title besides Smash bros.
I suppose there's nothing wrong with that, it's just really odd. In fact the game plays a bit like an action rpg where as you progress, you get stronger, therefore making the game much easier in the later stages. My only real complaint is that the game begins throwing everything at you from the get go, most games slowly step up the difficulty but not here. Each section of the game is broken up into a few stages capped off with a dungeon and a boss at the end of it. The gameplay has you traversing from hell to the clouds as a trapped angel named pit, armed with a bow and arrow you have to work your way up. It's a bit jarring at first but thankfully the controls are spot on. Many levels have you progressing upward and you have the ability to leave one side of the screen and pop up at the other.
